1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.

When I tried the S1, it was able to map our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rug.

The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dirt or dust. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with many advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station if required.

Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent, with a pair spinning mop heads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station as needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by an additional side brush that automatically moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
