The Linksys router red light indicates you have connected the modem to the wrong port. Thus, you must connect the router and the modem from the correct port.
You must plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port, the red light should turn solid blue. However, if the issue persists, you can try power cycling the router to fix the issue. You can also reset the router to fix all glitches.
